Brian graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science in 1990. He uses his vast knowledge and experience to deliver solutions and provide recommendations regarding estimating, developing quotes, and implementing changes. While collaborating with the project team during design and implementation stages of architectural and interior design he evaluates projects and provides expertise ensuring proper preparation to support project success. Brian has estimated and directed the construction of a variety of ground-up and interior construction projects during his career.
Opie is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing site work and the completions of Projects on schedule. Acting as liaison between builder and others as directed, solving problems and working with other employees to accomplish needed tasks are all attributes that Opie possesses to keep the ball rolling and communication open.
Mike brings over 30 years of experience in a wide range of roles in construction Management. With 20 years of experience Mike worked for the State of Texas in various roles from Quality Assurance Manager and Project Manager to Owner’s Rep.
Mike has been in the Central Texas Market for over 10 years and has developed a vast network of professionals and subcontractors in the area that he works with on projects.
He is an experienced commercial builder and has provided extensive planning along with systematic management of construction projects. Mike’s proven track record and exceptional reputation in the building industry are based on over a decade of quality construction in the retail, hospitality, corporate, multi-family, financial, government, education and healthcare sectors while serving as a Project or Senior Project Manager.
Mike has been an associate of Mr. Blackburn since 2004. Their partnership is built upon a decade or more of working together managing millions of dollars in projects.
Penny’s responsibility’s are to assist HBC in Supervising all daily operations of the company, including Project Management, IT, Marketing, Estimating, Office Management and Sales. Acquiring new opportunities and to develop long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients; she has the ambition to expand and diversify HBC.
With over 20 years of being an administrator Carol is the perfect fit for our company. She cares about what she does and makes sure it is done right. Taking care of Accounts Receivable and Payable are her main priority along with everything that goes along with keeping HBC in line!
Curtis adds an abundance of experience and knowledge to our team here at HBC. With his 25+ years in the construction industry he offers knowledge in Project Management, Pre- Construction Planning, Cost-Control and Risk Assessment among many others. Curtis is a big part of the success we have here at HB Construction. He is dedicated and works diligently to ensure all projects and owners are taken care of as first priority.
Thomas is a highly analytical and accomplished professional with extensive experience in planning, organizing, and executing capital projects while eliminating errors, reducing costs, and improving overall efficiency/revenue stream. Demonstrating success in identifying and mitigating functional/operational problems and discrepancies to devise and employ cost effective solutions sets us ahead. His stellar record of completing and delivering multiple parallel projects within strict time and budgetary constraints is a strong asset to our team. Thomas possesses an Innate ability to excel in face of adversity by creatively overcoming obstacles and facilitating change.
